anonymous accusations about others in society... I am referring to a SMS I saw put on the screen during IBN/Inshan Ishmael's Breaking Barriers program tonight. I was recording SynergyTV Soca Star and flicked during a commercial break. Now Inshan's comments were his usual self but I was dismayed at seeing the comment approved for broadcast...

Jumbie - a few lessons learnt

I had to repost this as they are fitting... some of the stuff I LIVE... and try to teach others...

While going about my household chores over the past few days, I had a few thoughts that made me realise that with age, wisdom comes. I don't mean the soul-bursting nova like Buddha's enlightenment - more like some lessons I've garnered through experience over the years.

I learnt never to shave with cheap products, either electric or manual.

Cheap products (not only shaving stuff) are mostly a waste of money, and the really pricey ones don't do a better job as a medium priced one. So... save your money and buy economically. Balance quality with expense.

Learn to cook. You will never starve. Also learn to wash and iron your clothing.

Mind your own business. Many a time I've been taken up with work and neglected to take time off to pay a bill, or visit a doctor. The repercussions are many-fold down the line. Mind your business first, then employers' and friends'.

Polish your shoes when you go out. Learn to tie a tie. Drink and eat to moderation.

Hug those you love. read more, especially books on self-help and finance.

Learn financial management. Learn to make and use a budget. Buy essentials - needs before wants.

Don't fear change. Look at new careers. You might find one you like better and pays better.

Who say TSUNAMI?

Josette Sheeran of the World Food Program holds up a cup to illustrate the food ration given to children. (By Lefteris Pitarakis-AP)I have posted about the current 'World Food Crisis' that our leaders apparently didnt foresee... and well I saw a headline today that stood out from the rest...

Food Crisis Is Depicted As
'Silent Tsunami'

Sharp Price Hikes Leave Many
Millions in Hunger

"Hunger is a moral challenge to each one of us as global citizens, but it is also a threat to the political and economic stability of poor nations around the world,"

"With one child dying every five seconds from hunger-related causes, the time to act is now,"

Holding up the kind of plastic cup that the WFP uses to feed millions of children, Sheeran told reporters that the price of a metric ton of rice in parts of Asia had risen from $460 to $1,000 in less than two months.

I went to the grocery yesterday and there were signs asking consumers to take one bag of Flour/Rice... they only had 10Kg bags on offer anyway... no 5lbs bags were available... and it cost TT$12 MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS MONTH... AN INCREASE OF 25%... so i wonder what is the markup being used by the Supermarket?... can somebody at NFM tell us the price they selling at... i could do simple math...

I left all the luxury items in the grocery and still spent TT$1000... and I eh buy any fruits, vegetables or rice... I even try to buy in bulk but some of the items more expensive when I did the math... imagine that... the market will hopefully provide the fruits and vegetables at a cheaper rate... no I can't grow anything in a Grow Box... I eh have a front or backyard...

I really wonder how people who earn less than me survive...

In some parts of the world, Sheeran said, the WFP needs to provide food to people who have none. In other countries, she said, food is plentiful but prices have risen so much that people cannot afford it. She said the WFP is considering programs in those countries to provide cash assistance or emergency food vouchers.

Food experts have said such programs could help lower domestic food prices without hurting local farmers -- the kind of balance Sheeran said WFP officials are trying to strike as they deal with a crisis that has different faces in different parts of the world.

In contrast to the WFP position... 'Our' own Government, through Consumer Affairs Minister Peter Taylor, still can't understand the WHY? factor...

"Why should the price of soft drink at the retail end increase from $3 to $5 in the space of a mere four months? Why should the price of indigenous foods such as doubles and bake and shark increase by 75 per cent in the space of three months, when there has not been a corresponding increase in the price of raw materials and other inputs such as labour, equipment and overheads to this extent?"

"This Government therefore serves fair notice to all concerned that it will not hesitate to implement necessary legislation, as it is empowered to do, to discourage any such adverse trade practices which are inimical to the best interests of consumers," Taylor threatened.

I wonder why he didn't just lay the legislation instead of making a speech to do it... we all know that words are just words...

amm... where is the Minister of Agriculture in all this... is this only about the prices at the grocery/market... we cant wait six months for the Cubans to come and plant... we have farmers here... do we need to get all of our labour from foreign... i know i write bout dat before...

FITNA vs IGNORANCE

I was unsure if to actually post this but I have to give in to my internal struggle... my own Jihad if I dare say so... because the day after I wrote it I was asked by a colleague about my religious persuasion, did my explaining and he totally understood my views as he hold some of the same thoughts on the subject... so the following is the unedited version of thoughts that came to me during and immediately after I watched the material...

as I sit in work today (07APR08) and look at the controversial FITNA... I realize that one can be easily mislead if one doesnt educate oneself.... and sad to say that many of us are indeed uneducated... we look at topics from one one perspective... most of the time... I have never consciously professed to be a Muslim because I always maintain that the word means 'one who submits'... I have never submitted and Time/God alone knows if I ever will... one thing I maintain though is that I try to follow the teachings of Islam... herein lies the problem...

I have no formal education when it comes to Islam... and its my own fault... I dont blame that on anyone else... but from my life experiences I dont need any one religion to teach me how to live... beacause even as Islam maintains that 'we are all born as Muslim' but we have the ability to choose how we want to live... I live as righteous as I can... and I still have faults... will always have...

I posted the Boy Kills Man post and purposely left out and created sensationalised statements... the film FITNA is all about doing that... all of the outrage generated is real and while I dont agree with the film I also dont agree with the protesters... because the problem is two fold...

we allow some of our scholoars/teachers to lead us along a skewed path and we dont question or educate ourselves on topics related to the Quran and the Sunnah (ways and teachings of Muhammed pbuh)... as I watch, I see shots of women being killed, all in the name of Islam?.. most of that comes from the Tribal heritage that the Arab world has never seen fit to leave behind since the revelation of the Quran... they are relics of the past... the SYMBOLS of ISLAM?.. the traditions that however haram they are we hold onto...

read Quran for yourself... research for yourself... question yourself about what you see/hear being said about Islam... is it really Islam they are speaking about? or is it someone who claims/claimed to be Muslim...

the video ends with the statement... "the Islam ideology has to be defeated"... it isnt the Islamic ideology but those of the leaders who seek to twist the words to support their own agenda that need to be defeated... we need to get up and walk out, show our displeasure, however disrespectful it may seem when our Mullah/Imams/Scholars are preaching this violence and hate against the non-muslim... there is a teaching of Muhammed that goes...
If one of you sees something evil he should change it with his hand.
If he cannot, he should speak out against it, and
if he cannot do even that he should at least detest it in his heart,
this being the weakest form of faith.

Why do we continue to keep ourselves IGNORANT... the biggest problem within Islamic diaspora is Illiteracy...

the film only seeks to divide us all... whoever we are... these type of statements only seek to help the creator some more attention.

I found an interesting post that may help some in understanding some of what ISLAM is about here...
Racism and Islam

I over heard this today...

child: Why yuh give me 4 ICE?

my brain was like... 4 ICE... something sounding wrong...

child: I mean 4 ICES...

this definitely releases the stress of the day but can definitely pose more questions for me to worry even more...

now ICES is the plural of ICE but the reference was made about blocks of ICE... am I over-analyzing?
ICES also describes...

the reference was made to ICE that isn't countable... i mean we eh talking about smoothies here...

Tribal WAR

Tribal WarI only used the headline to get you to start reading. This post has nothing to do with WAR but deals with the challenges that we face because we are of different Tribes.

I was invited to an Iftar by a friend's co-worker/friend. Now it wasn't close to where we live but Trinidad not that big either. With directions in hand we set off 15 minutes later than I wanted to. I knew the exit to take but I was worried about the '10-15 minute drive on a road that seemed never ending'... that was part of the directions (we got). The directions were as accurate as you can get. I found the place with relative ease but too close to the actual time I wanted to be there... If You're on time you're Late... I was on time.

The formalities over we headed North, back to the relative safety and comfort of an area that I am more knowledgeable of. This is where the Tribal WAR starts. My friend, thankful for the Southern Hospitality, questioned the feeling of being outcast. I don't know how else to describe it. The atmosphere at the Iftar wasn't the same as I was accustomed to... but then again I rarely go to places where I don't know many people. The 'outcast' feeling was weird as the assumption was that Muslim people should be warm to others, especially at this time of year. I had to state that this was one of my problems with Muslims in Trinidad but it isn't a problem that is unique to Trinidad or ISLAM.

Tribal WARfare exists in many different facets. In this election season we are going to see it. There will be division between Race, Class, Ilk, Profession... all differing Tribes. Different people falling into different Tribes on different occasions. Our Tribes allow us to feel comfortable among others. We have a sense of security knowing others are the same. Knowing that they have the same beliefs, qualifications and even race. It isn't easy to go into a community and immediately be welcomed as an equal... even if you have the qualifications. You sometimes have to prove yourself. On this particular evening I didn't have the time nor did I see the need. It was fitting (this morning) that I heard the Mufti on radio speaking about 'the Family' on radio while I was having my Sehri.

The conversation that was spawned dealt mainly with me expressing my views on the divisions in Islam and personal experiences with family that I met for the first time. I am not about to write about the divisions in Islam as I don't believe that there should be any and I also am not qualified to do so. Nope! I am not an Islamic scholar. I can and will try to write about a personal experience.

I met a family that I had no interaction with for the majority of my life earlier this year. I met the parents 25 years ago, and then only the father about 10-12 years ago. My thought processes were all over the place. They were now a family of 6. Four children that I had never met and had no real knowledge of. Would they talk to me? Would they be uncomfortable with this stranger? Guess what... they all welcomed me into their lives with open arms. It was as if I was living there with them all the time. Thats the beauty of belonging to a Tribe. This was a family Tribe. A Tribe that welcomed a member unknown to them but 'known' to the elders. Just the knowledge that this person has some of the same roots as them. It would link to upbringing and belief.

As I write this I remember being welcomed back into another Tribe earlier this year. I wasn't with them for 2 years but I returned into the Tribe with no real rumblings. There was one incident where another Tribe member questioned my membership but it sorted itself out as Tribal Politics tends to do.

You see, we all belong to different Tribes at different times in our lives. Recently, Facebook has allowed me to find members of Tribes from my school days. We were all part of the same Tribe then and part of a new Tribe now... Facebook.

I don't know what to write again... I tired... this wasn't really a planned blurb... I leave you with this...

Its all about feeling a sense of belonging... (right now) I belong to Trinidad and I long to be here.

i guess at some point in time i will finish writing this but then again...

20070906

and the nominees are...

I am currently working on a project for an award show that is slated to happen 2 weekends from now. I wasn't at work for about 3 weeks due to a previous engagement... All the while I was thinking that the show is at the end of September... HA! Low and behold when I went to work on Monday they telling me that its due earlier... much earlier... 2 weeks earlier... 10 days earlier than what was tentatively given... oh $hit I have it written on the friggin whiteboard... Y allyuh so...

I have to do it anyway so it didn't make sense fussin... but the best part is that everything still eh final yet... I guess that is acceptable here in our little Third World Republic. Well I don't accept it... I cant... I know that it wont be the last time I encounter this either... but lemme just inform those who like to stick... you wont get the BEST of ME...

I wont be giving you the MTV finish... but i guess it may still be better than IBN's or WIN TV's graphics... I using templates and making then work for me, well you really cant get anything else cause meh employer eh paying me for graphic work either... side note - he had an interview today for one... didn't sound/look positive... exhale...

Every year allyuh have this programme set proper deadlines nah... I saw the promo for MTVs Music Awards and damn yow it looks HOTT... and I sure you wanted something looking like that too... SORRY! I had to change the Font Type on a whole heap of Graphics today because they weren't fancy or curly enough. Well I did... A Typewriter FONT in yuh Ruckunks... you like the Rounded Edges... OK... cause If you want Script Fonts you could get that too. I would do it but I wont be held responsible when the show airs on television and people cant read the damn text. No one really watches that station anyway. I mean I only watch it for news and I've been told that its only because a certain News Anchor has Big Boobies... I never noticed... :D

So I guess I will go to work tomorrow and finish all that I have been given material for. Thats all I can do. The best part is that they want me to scour the World Wide Web aka the Internet for pictures of the individuals who are nominated. Jeez allyuh doh even know to ask the respective managers for a Press Kit and then send the pictures for me... wait wait wait... i forgot this is a Third World Nation now striving for First World Status... VISION 2020... I should utilize and embrace the power of the internet and use the 100x100 .gif that is 20 years old too... well lemme start looking for pics cause I don't think they will appreciate me using more text for their Award Show.

Bad Blogger, Bad Service

I have been a really bad blogger... NO REAL POSTings for a while... been unemployed to employed... to wanting to be unemployed... haven't really taken stock for awhile and its not that there aren't issues that i dont want to RANT about.

When I hear people talk about it on Radio or read another blog I sometime lose my own zeal to write on it bcause others are already voicing opinions that I may already have.

This BLOGGIN thing does really take time... time I sometimes dont give myself... i wanted to talk about the Steelpan Revolution thing but I get caught up in listening to Anil & Sprang on the Power Drive... I also wanted to applaud Adrian Barrath on taking a stand with the Choc'late Awards.... good for u... too many ppl doh take a stand fuh dey beliefs, and then stand by them... even ifs he still let someone collect on your behalf... and you already say "u eh wa it"

and after reading Denzil Mohammed's blurb in d Guardian today i would really say that Customer Service nowadays eh like longtime... I had the PLEASURE of selling myself a product on Friday. I had to beg the gyul in d store to assist. I really need the item and had scoured the socalled Computer Stores in Trincity Mall and finally saw the item lurking at the back of a showcase.

I axe d gyul wat were d specs an she proceeded to look around.. as if I axe sumbody else... the reaction was less than polite... if u doh know what i axing bout say so... STEUPS... I was dunn in a BAD mood... tired and hungry... so she eventually unlocked the showcase and pull d item from the back, holding the box in her hands she just stares at it, hoping that it would speak and say "YES, I am what he is looking for."

I then saw that the box had my required specifications on it, but I had previously returned a similar product bcause the insides didnt match the outsides... NO it wasnt the same store... and that one actually had very polite staff (Super Tech in Tunapuna, by Auzonville dey)... I digress... so the box was opened and contents start to come out but the sales gyul still eh know what she lookin for so she was SPINNIN' TOP IN MUD... I am pretty pissed by now... I really need the ting... if i cudda wait i wudda go by Super Tech... So I take the contents and am pleased to see that it is what i require... so time to pay... I draw fi my wallet and the gyul immediately tells me go on the otherside of the register... I wonder Y? as I begin to move around I start to pull out my Credit Card and then she remarks, "OH, you paying by VISA!" yeah she tort it was LINX and was directing me to the dongle to punch in the digits... Transaction complete I still say THANKS cause I was thankful to get what I went for...

As a customer I also have to be polite as it should have a positive effect, most times anyway, on the interaction between me and the seller. I have seen customers treat staff in a terrible manner as well.

So... is either you train your staff or really decide what you selling... Laptops and related items or 24" rims, Car amp and Speaker... you already have BAD SERVICE on the SkyBox side...

IGNITE (Tribe - Drinks inclusive event)

...well I now reach home from Tribe's IGNITE, all drinks inclusive fete, and believe me I can't remember when I last had this much fun.

Tonight was kinda difficult for me but IGNITEing at the same time; personal issues that I will not delve into but it shaped my outlook on the entire night, as most things personal tend to shape our lives.

Nadia BatsonWe arrived just before 2300hrs and Kes the Band featuring Nadia Batson were performing. I didn't really pay them much attention as i didn't yet settle; and I don't like Kees. Nadia Batson has a big tune on her hands and can well run away with a SOCA Monarch title this year. I was actually in a meeting earlier in the day where Mrs. Helen Batson, Nadia's mother, gave a brief sermon and ministered to a small group. What she had to say was very enlightening and I actually tried to implement some of the lessons immediately... but I digress...

After being served a BLACK, a new Rum & Cola drink from Fernandes, as I entered the venue I proceeded to make my normal MACO. It seemed that Johnny Q was responsible for everything (Sound/Video/Lighting), including the 'Johnny-on-the-Spots' and I figured Fireone Fireworks was responsible for the CO2 and Flames. Just a note on the BLACK... it reinforced why I don't drink RUM... bleech!

I did not like the video screen layout for the venue, considering I worked at the same venue for three nights in 2006, TRIBE fete included. There were three screens installed. One on stage left and two on stage right. Stage right had two different size screens but it was nauseous at times; my naseau may be attributed to the switching of the closed circuit coverage for the venue. I saw a total of five cameras. Two mobile on stage, one on a jib/boom that was stage right, one just slightly off center-stage by one of the lighting posts and the last was on the scaffolding tower above the main mixing board, all complete with talkback for the director.

Two big Bars with some tubs littered around the venue filled with beer for self service. The Benson & Hedges team were also there along with a Gatorade booth. I finally found out what B&H were giving as gifts for the cigarette buying public. It was a cheap plastic digital camera that needs a couple of AAA batteries for power. And guess what... you had to get your own batteries. Imagine giving a gift that one should be able to be put to immediate use but you leave out a most important element... I digress again...

Mysterious of the Curtain CrewBunji Garlin & the Asylum came and performed as excellent as they could ever be. There was point in time when Mysterious of the Curtain Crew came up on stage and threatened to steal Garlin's thunder. Garlin informed him that if he wanted to dive off the front of the stage he would have to performg a song. Mysterious delivered 'Suck d Bress & Squeeze d Bumcee' and had the crowd beggin for more. Bunji then sang one of my favourites 'Blessings'. A much needed song for the times that we are in and my general mood. Garlin also invited Devon Stuart to demonstrate his dexterty with our national instrument, the steel pan. This man played the pan in all imaginable places. Upside down and even directly on the floor.

Iwer George continues to mash up 'Fete After Fete,' even when Mysterious comes back and is made to perform yet again. Fay-Ann kinda killed the Asylum's performance by giving too many instructions to the Curtain Crew and some Red Devils in the crowd.

Hypa Hoppa & DJ Dane saved the day with some classic Calypso/Soca. This was a beautiful segway to introduce the next band.

Imij & Co.Imij & Co. came on and I wondered if I was going to be as bored as I was for Jamboree. I wasn't. Really. Most of the performance had me grooving to the music. And as I said to Terry Seales, who I later saw in the crowd, the problem I had was that their set was just too groovy. Too groovy for me who had come with a 'Jump and Wave' expectation. I made the point that they were being different. Joey as usual, chose to use songs that have much more variation/music within their pages for the band to perform and really show off their skills. Michelle and Terry need not sing their entire song though. And Ghetto Flex doesn't need to follow them with a whole rendition of Machel Montano HD's 'One More Time' either. The overall performance was good. Mr. Slaughter came on to their backing and as usual he "flattened the tanker." Talk about a HIT song. A definite song to help us 'Spread The Love' all year through.

I really have a different outlook on Destra & Atlantik though; and no it was Sobieski's fault. Destra was coming off a cussin incident from the previous night and sought to apologize to the crowd for her behaviour. She claimed that she was provoked and let the situation overcome her normally rational self. She also maintained that DIGICEL was still behind her... 100%.

Destra GarciaOne of the people who really inspires me to write my blurbs may jest at my newly found defense for an artist whom i had previousely held no brief. Destra really did win me over. She came on with 40 minutes of performance and I wondered how she was going to do her set in such a short time; this after expressing the view that she is often rushed off the stage for other performers. Destra tantalised the crowd by 'Dutty Wining' and 'HOT F*$KING' (WUK for you radio friendly people). I was eargerly anticipating Nya George's 'Las Lap', another song that is definitely one of my party favourites, when i realised that Destra was actually singing. She had her tracks/band but was actually singing over them.

I think one of my feet is now on the Destra bandwagon. Destra & Nya had me going 'down d road' for over five minutes.

I haven't slept a wink since yesterday about this same time so I have my one official 24 hours for 2007. I really have to go do my real work and I will hopefully get a piece of cardboard on which to lay my head. Thanks TRIBE for an excellent Fete.

d bandwagonist gonna try to get some shuteye... ban-d-wagonist...

Jamboree in d Park

I had a good time at Jamboree yesterday considering that they didn't start me off good. The Jamboree was carded to start @ 1600hrs and this Trini is one who is a stickler for time. I was there from 1610hrs and when I reach music wasn't even playing. I laugh @ myself remembering when I was leaving home my sister asking me where I was going so early... any way I wasn't the only one early... I met up with Raj who was early too. We talked about Crime on my work place and watched as others arrived and wondered how long the wait would be. Fire officers and BARS staff were still strolling in late and apparently in no hurry. The Benson & Hedges girls came strolling down in some clothes that didn't fit them too good and still no music.

1700hrs and some music began to come out from the sound system but no entrance to the people gathered. I guess we were the ones who didn't go to AC5 the night before. Finally, the wait was over at 1710hrs when after drinking a Carib from the corn soup vendor they heeded Shurwayne's call and opened the gate.

First ting was to get a proper drink... CARIB is all good but when Scotch or Vodka is available... Why drink a BEER? I stopped by the Blu Vodka booth to get a little taste with some Ocean Spray... you might as well drink d freebees until they either run you or run out... My companion had some Capaccino ting that mimics Baileys and I then proceded to scope the venue.

I feel the need to know who doing what with regard to Sound/Video/Lighting. AD Sound company (Gus) was doing the overall sound and lighting while I surmised that the video screens and closed circuit coverage came from Media 21. STAG, a Man's beer, was trying ting with a video projector in a big white ball but they didn't place it to get the greatest possible audience. Benson & Hedges had a whole Tent/Booth with complimentry Bar and a couple 43" Plasma Screens constantly running ads. High Fidelity was running a SOCA mix down from the Laptop and I was drinking my Vodka enjoying myself in the cool evening.

Mr. Slaughter @ Jamboree 2007Imij & Co. arrived in a 25 seater and immediately proceded to set up. DAMN they took long. It seemed to me like an hour cause I was begining to loose the buzz I created by downing a fair amount of Blu & Sobieski Vodka. I usually try not to drink alcohol when gearing up to follow instructions. I saw Mr. Camps constantly checking lines on the Main board, like one was giving trouble. I couldn't let the buzz completely go away so off I went to get a screwdriver to help my cause.

Imij finally came on about 1925hrs and their performance wasn't as good as I expected. I am a big fan of the band and the best part of their performance came when Mr. Slaughter entered the stage just before 2000hrs. I had actually gone for something to eat and returned to the stage for Slaughter. I had to Spread The Love... set completed Imij & Mr. Slaughter gone back to the DJ...

Bunji Garlin @ Jamboree 2007Bunji Garlin is the Fire Man. Coming on at approximately 2050hrs he gave us hits from the past and led us into a beautiful display of the Steelpan's versatility. Garlin freestyled on a multitude of topics even taking up the challenge by a patron who gave him a bottle of Scotch to wet his throat; the video here.
Ninjitsu gave Jouvay from 2006 and SkaFace came with Audrey also from 2006. I don't think he was well received by the audience. I was drenched in sweat after Garlin & The ASYLUM tore up the stage.

'Mashing up Fete is Meh Name' also made an appearance... for those who don't know that is Neil Iwer George's new name. After hearing and seeing him in Blue Range All Inclusive I knew what he was coming with but this time I had the opportunity to 'Show Meh Hand' for him to 'Read my Palm'... I did most certainly Jump Up & Get on BAD...

Iwer George @ Jamboree 20072230hrs and I decided it was time to leave. I have no idea if Destra came with Atlantik... and I eh really bizness either... not really a Destra fan... but assume she had to come cause ah d amount of DIGICEL signage and rags.

I look forward to the 2008 edition and I hope to enjoy Euphoria on the coming Saturday even more...

Blue Range All Inclusive

I was at the Blue Range All Inclusive last night and d place was ram out with people. This year I heard tickets were hard to come by. A man tell me he pay $380 fuh one. It didn't bother me... cause me eh buy any... I went to wukk...

We had to work some magic with the screen and camera positions but it was all good... good thing we had that ladder... the artist performances were good...

Crazy was first up and had the audience begging for some of his older hits. He sang "Nani Wine" and a little piece of "Paul (Yuh Mudda Come)." He then gave them "Cold Sweat" and "One Foot Cock."

Ziggy Rankin and the Barbados 'Crop Over' Road March Champ Jabae came after but didn't move the crowd as much.

Mr. Slaughter, who I believe has the Carnival 2007 Anthem in "Soca In Meh Blood", is probably suffering from hearing loss. He kept asking for more volume on d mic; this is a trait he has had from back when he was on the sound system circuit.

The Big Man in the Bizness Mr. Neil 'Iwer' George then took stage and sang the hits that made him change to "Mashing Up Fete is meh name"... they lapped it all up.

Shurwayne Winchester didn't thank all who PARTAKED in the making of his music video for "Don't Stop" as he did on both SynergyTV & Gayelle, the Channel. He and the DJ playing his tracks were out of sync. My experience with that particular DJ is that he always knows what you want not what you ask him for... so I guess Shurwayne's performance took a little hit for that.

Heinekin was there making people dance on camera for a Magnum. While newly opened Body Art of Movie Towne was there airbrushing tatoos onto willing paticipants.

When it was dun the 3 of us who worked the job together sat and waited for the JAM to clear out... drank some stuff that was left inna fridge and talked some $hit for a while. I think we left about 0535 and I just needed to get home. As soon as I sat down behind the wheel I started to feel sleepy. On approach to the Beaulieau Exit on d Highway, going faster than I should, I saw someone had already beaten me to running off the road lower down by the Montague Steps. About 7 cars had already stopped to help and I was too tired to stop. I went home, offloaded the car, made the call to say I reach hom safe, then heard the sirens now arriving on the scene of the accident. It was 0600 and sleep was calling... and then I got up about 1430 Sunday afternoon...

Give Thanks for the BLESSING of LIFE...
