  1. You know maybe it's just me an my so-called misanthropic position - I just cyah understan' how people could spend so much time creating a 2 min video to put up on YouTube, just to get some sense of presence on the 'world stage' - and tuh have a fun time.

Ah mean if I put myself in the position of the people in that video I'm thinking: content, rehersals, video takes, quite some time video-editing, audiobackground, review, upload - all for what? Doh tell meh, i's raw achievement, play on illegal drugs, sense of purpose, creativity, sense of wellbeing, spotlights, approval of peers, hope of recognition by some music company somewhere - look nah man - there is no sense of reality among youth these days.

Jes plant a li'le gyarden - dat much more productive.

And me? Why I spend any time writing any of this? I hope that somebody will disagree with me - and that that might stimulate some greater degree of awareness among others.

  2. i don't believe its a wast of time because they are honing their production skills... OK OK they cant sing and its only for the concept that I posted it... but this parody is something my friends and I used to do when we were in school... the only difference is that we didn't have YouTube to give extra Life to our musings...

the idea of giving them notoriety Is probably that I like this more than the Regazzi - Serious vid I posted a couple of days ago... this is alot more positive than having to put a disclaimer up b4 the video...

and tru... I don't know y u commented either... I too have seen/read things on the interweb and wonder if I should comment... sometimes i write it just to get it out of my head... and I don't always click to publish it...

I still give the Dutty Boi Production team props for their creations because it isnt easy and they are youth who seem to know what they want to do with their lives... Formal schooling will only help them understand how to produce better... and win you over...

  3. Thats good. I am persuadable by logic. I wish more people on the web could follow your lead.

From what you say I could now see how the investment of time might be worthwhile in the future.

I've changed my perspective on the video.

"..I too have seen/read things on the interweb and wonder if I should comment... sometimes i write it just to get it out of my head... and I don't always click to publish it...

Well that's interesting. I thought I was alone in that. Two's company then. I now feel less mad. LOL!!

  4. Shiiiit .... yuh know how much times I does write ting .... and den unwrite it .... cuz yeah .... sometimes yuh jus need tuh keep it tuh yuhself ....

Captain Walker ... I was feelin de same exact way as you .... until Ban-d-Wagon brought up some good points about improvin dey productions skills etc etc ... I never looked at it that way ... so I guess it really is .... all about perspective ....

I have to say tho ..... dat altho these two dudes cyah sing tuh save dey life .... to me .... dey actually did de song justice .... cuz at least I got a good laugh out if ... whereas the TI version just makes me cringe .... can't stand it!!!

  6. Now we go see somet'ing really interesting - well at least to me.

Check dis: "If you think people are wasting time making videos on youtube don't watch them that's all beacuse at the end of the day you wasted more time browsing the videos." This statement is full of assumptions and is unproductive.

Is dis directed at someone? Who made any conclusion that the video in question was a waste of time? Where is this conclusion written? Isn't the word 'If', or 'eeef' if you happen to be from the culture of a banana republic, a conditional. And certainly in a banana republic it is used in an imperative argumentative way - as if to suggest that someone actually held such a conclusion. If not why make such a conditional statement.

I could then say 'Eeef you doh want to be demolished..doh respond to this thread' but I suspect that might be a red rag to a bull. Ahm excuse meh - we eh talking about animals eh.
