Steelpan Revolution

The Prime Minister officially unveiled new steelpan(s) last night. Work that he mandated a couple of years ago to standardize and PATENT the National Instrument.

In a 2 hour presentation the PM gave us a history of the steelpan with help from Errol Fabien and Damion Melville. The man in charge of the project Professor Copeland also divulged some of the technical info related to the research and he was guaranteed to receive the nation's highest award (whatevr they decide to name it)... i tort it was decided by a committee... DICTATORSHIP

The new steelpan is abit larger than existing ones but the Tenors now hold a full 3 octaves. There are also improvements on the Basses and others in the ensemble.

Don't Change - Music Video Launch

Laurenzo Gonzalez, Trinidad's newly founded 'Soca-Reggaeton' Artiste, will be launching his new music video named 'Don't Change', also featuring Bellydancer Kimberley Abraham. Its happening Tuesday 26th June, 2007 at Nemo's, at 9pm. There is also a performance of the launching single, the best dressed lady will be serenaded by Laurenzo, he will also be performing 2 other songs along side a live band, there will also be a Belly Dacning Performance by Kimberley Abraham with authentic arabian music. All media is invited, also VIP guests, anyone can come. Plese come and support. Many surprises are also in store!

Kevon Foderingham, member of online community TrinidadJunction, will be officially launching V2 Promo Ltd. on 27th of May 2007.

The event will feature an art exhibition by Paul Cain and the Trinidad Junction's Jason Jarvis. There will also be a fashion show featuring the creations of Paddock Designs set to the live music of Solaris the band and others.

This event will also feature a television pilot produced by Kevon Foderingham and edited by Tamika Phillip (Trinidad Junction) and directed by Thomas Jemmerson (Trinidad Junction)

R.A.S.H. (rage art soul heart) as the night will be called will also showcase dynamic poets, hip hop, rapso singers and other oral treats. It will see the launch of the cover of new entertainment magazine Limelife.

R.A.S.H. seeks to be a monthly event... featuring films, art, music, fashion or any talent in the months to come... open to all media or forms of artistic expression.
